For all its regular day to day expenditure, repairs and upkeep of the churchyard and church buildings, the local church is entirely dependent on local support. Our churches do not receive regular financial help from any outside bodies. Nor do we receive financial support from the national church or the UK Government. The ministry and work of the church is entirely down to us, the parishioners, and the contributions we can make, large or small.

If you are not part of the ‘Parish Giving Scheme’ then why not consider becoming a member and supporting our churches on a regular basis. The scheme allows full control of how often and how much you give.

Regular Giving: You can set up a Direct Debit through PGS that collects your gift, Monthly, Quarterly or Annually. There are no processing fees, and you remain in control of your gift.
One-Off Gift: You can use a Debit, Credit card or your Google or Apple Pay wallet to make a single one-off gift to your chosen parish. The Parish pays a small transaction fee to cover the costs of processing.

About the Parish Giving Scheme
The scheme enables you to:

Even though the gifts are made to the PGS, gifts are restricted to the parish you specify and cannot be used elsewhere. Our team will process your Gift Aid declaration, where applicable, and then the gift will be passed back to your parish by 10th of the month. The Gift Aid sum will be sent separately once PGS has received it from HMRC.
A unique feature of the scheme is the option for each giver to commit in principle to increase their gift annually in line with inflation. While this is a voluntary decision, it is one that could potentially have a huge impact on the life and future of the church. If you manage your giving online, you can easily change the amount you give at any time. Alternatively, you can contact PGS and we will adjust the gift for you. There are three ways in which you can set up a Direct Debit to give regularly to your church or parish:
