Your Church wedding
Our churches are a great place for weddings and we would love to be a part of your special day if you live in the parish, or have a connection with us. We understand that preparing for a wedding is exciting but can be a little daunting. We’re here to help, from the flowers, music and order of service to the nitty gritty of legal requirements, we want your day to be as stress free as possible.
Rosie and Wil were married in Jan '24 - they said, "We are so grateful that we had the opportunity to get married at St Mary’s Offwell Church... Our expectations were surpassed by the thoughtful guidance we received from the Vicar, who patiently brought us through all the marriage processes. Logistical and legal points were explained to us clearly, and responsiveness to last minute questions made a big difference and reassured us that we were in safe hands. We were surprised by the amount of choice and flexibility being offered to us in terms of what the ceremony could involve. Taking time to explore the spiritual significance of marriage in the preparation stage was of particular importance to us, and the insights and knowledge of the vicar were a privilege to receive. The ceremony itself was better than we could have dreamed, it was our favourite part of the day by far and many guests commented what a highlight it was for them also."
